The Mill Cafe – December 4, 2013

We finished out our third year of Let’s Eat! at another Thornbury restaurant, The Mill Cafe. This was a special event, fully booked in no time, and it’s no wonder! We had wine pairings by Hobbs & Co., as well as cheeses by Dags & Willow, in addition to the culinary delights of the Mill. It’s only early December, but we’re all starting to feel festive, after last night’s event. The wine was flowing, the fire was roaring, and the food was delicious. Check out this menu…

Oyster trio

lemon chili vinaigrette, sauce mignonette, ginger lime relish

Smoked salmon

pickled beets, creamed horseradish, pumpernickel crisps

Tenderloin Tournedos

4oz Tenderloin, seared fois gois, parsnip puree, blueberry reduction

Raspberry sorbet

I have to tell you, the raspberries for the sorbet were picked fresh and it was made on site that day. It was tremendous!

The whole evening was outstanding, from the staff, to the renovated interior, to the food, to the wine and cheese pairings. Thanks to all who came together to make this final event of 2013 go out with a bang.
